Her expression is secretive, challenging, and also slightly seductive at the same time. I love the play on words with the title of this pic. The shading and usage of color with the painting also sets a forboding tone.
I think it's the expression that gets me in this one, though the pose is dynamic and interesting too, to say the least. I want to know the story behind it -- who is she, what's her history, why does she play violin? (... I realise that sounds odd, but... well, I play my flute as a release, when the art's not working and life isn't good; maybe she has a similar reason, or maybe she plays because she's cursed to, or... who knows...). She looks sad, but determined, or perhaps it's resigned. I'm intrigued, at any rate.
