Not really sure this goes into this category, since I'm not much of a horror painter.

This was a 35 min. speedpaint for CGTalk's Daily Sketch Forum Topic: "The Red Menace"

but I liked it too much for it to go into scraps (though I did add several others to scraps, today, if you're interested).

isn't the red menace supposed to mean communists? but i suppose any sort of red menace could be appropriate...

Well, since it's "red death" not "red menace" and since E.A. Poe wrote "The Masque of the Red Death" nearly 60 years before the rise of communism and the term "red menance/red scare" was even coined... I'm gonna venture to say no, it has nothing to do with communism at all.
