Jareth: Leather and Velvet

posted a challenge: Paint Jareth, the Goblin King, but don't try to make him look like David Bowie.

Of course, the goblins heard, and ran about and rushed into walls and then finally told Jareth who immediately had them summon me to his court. (I won't talk about the methods they used to convince me, as I'm still trying to wash out some of the stains). Jareth, it seems, was tired of me writing about him and was insisting on a Royal Portrait showing him in all of his true glory (all respect to Bowie, he says, but the man's makeup was just a little too 80's for him, the physical resemblance was close, but the filmmakers *are* only human).

I tried to explain that I have a calendar to think about, and commissions to contact people about, and a CGtalk challenge to work on, and a million other things I OUGHT to be doing... But he was rather persuasive. And I admit, I have a hard time saying "no" to Jareth. Something about the creature just makes me itch to paint/write/drool.
